A new study from economist says the Government plan will create $820 billion in new taxes and 95% increase in premiums over the next 10 years.

They control production and consumption by determining the number of Doc; what services medical professionals can offer and under what terms; where they can practice; who can open a hospital or purchase a new MRI; who can market a drug or medical device; and what kind of health insurance consumers may purchase. They do a lousy job of keeping down cost.

My husband has been unemployed for almost 2 years and is without any healthcare. But, I do not want the Federal government to make decision for me or to entitle insurance to every American then not have access because there are not enough doctors or technicians to take care of us. Many will die waiting. I am horrified at the thought of this.

Govt takeover of the health care system is just wrong. The govt does not have the authority to make this a mandatory program. A Govt mandate of this nature will stink at the highest level. I think everyone except trial lawyers would agree tort reform would help. And yes the insurance laws do need to be changed to allow a free market and force competition.
